Sq. D QO retaining bracket

Has anyone had to install the red retaining bracket on a qo breaker when used as a main breaker across the buss?
I could not figure out how to install this.
Any help would be appreciated.

there is a small hole in the breaker mounting rail, the hex headed screw threads into the hole. Its easier if you remove the panel interior from the can. If I recall the there are two types of the brackets, pkmb and pk2mb

Tom is right, it is easier to install with the interior out. The little sketch that comes with it is a little vague but study it carefully and you will see how it goes.
