SqD old split phase panel attachment of secondary leads

At any point in time did SqD weld the leads of the buss to the buss? did this ever happen very old panel QO?

Some old split bus panels had the conductors welded directly to the bus. I believe that Federal Pacific was on of them. Not sure about Square D.

Yes, I had a QO split bus panel with conductors spot welded to a "lighting" bus on the bottom, and fed by a 2-pole breaker from the main bus up top.

I don't know for sure but I think such things would be roughly 1960s vintage. Never seen one in person.
