Does anyone know if a Sq D Homeline 200A load center has the same amount of breaker spaces as there is K.O. tabs for the breakers?
In some panels it appears that there are two spaces left at the bottom, across from each other, but when you take the cover off the bus bar doesn't go down that far and there are no more spaces.

I'm trying to look at a job via pictures sent because the job is a good distance from me and I don't want to drive that far just to look.

The 40-space 200A loadcenter uses the same 42-space door off the 225A loadcenter, which is 42 spaces.

If the door has 30 KO’s, I’m pretty certain there’s a 30-space bus behind it. The 24-space loadcenters are 125A and the can & cover are shorter.

As mentioned 225 amp 42 circuit panel uses same box and cover as 200 amp 40 circuit panel.

That seems to be the main one like this for 225 amp bus panels. You will see there are some in the 125 amp bus panels also that use same box/cover for a couple different number of spaces, like certain 16, 20 or 24 circuit panels.

If you have an older panel, it could be different than what is available now. Homeline isn't all that old, but the first ones didn't use the QOM1 main breakers that are used now so there has been some changes since the first ones.

From the picture I got it looks like there are 14 spaces being used and 15 tabs on each side. So this is a 30 space and if you're correct there should be 2 spaces available. I would have to move things around to put in a 2-pole breaker as the spaces are across from each other.
