Hello. I am looking to install a Square D HEPD80 Surge protector. No space on panel. Really dont want to connect directly to buss (ring terminals) and double tap breaker.

Can I use quad breaker to do this install?

Most HOM breakers (<~50A) will accept two wires legally. You may not choose to, but it's acceptable.

I have my electronics (except TV) on this (see link below). Do I really need a 80k SPD? just that I would love to be able to just use one of those plug in (like a breaker) but the only one I can get is the 25K SPD Might be bale to fit a clamp on neutral to my HL panel (pics file too big to attach). I live in Fl. I do know that if the house takes a "direct hit" (lightning) that it wouldn't matter if I had 1,000,000 KA, my electronics would get "smoked checked"

If I am just concerned about my TV, would the 25k be okay? I could run to TV power exterior down to me type 3 (see link below) SPD, but that would be "ugly". If I could find a power cord (for my TV) that was in wall rated, I would just run down inside wall to my type 3 SPD.

If I have to go with the one that requires CB, I am definitely going with the 80K. If I have to go this route, looks like I the only please to feasibly install that SDP would be on the bottom of panel. If I install breaker right below MB, it will be closer to power source, but I will have long wires (more impedance). If I install breaker on bottom of panel, will be further (relatively) from power source, but shorter wires (less impedance).
This being stated, what is more important, length of wires or distance from MB?
