Does anyone know where on Square D's website I can find transformer damage curves? I am trying to do a coordination study. Specifically a 1500KVA, 13.2KV, oil filled, pad mounted transformer. Thanks!

What software are you using?

Transformer damage curves are defined in ANSI/IEEE C57.109, IEEE Guide for Transformer through Fault-Current Duration.

SKM has a generic model. I spoke with a rep at ABB and he told me that each transformer should have a unique curve.

use the SKM damage curve

use the SKM damage curve

IMO, the SKM damage curve, being based on transformer impedance and X/R ratio, is all you need.
If you want maximum accuracy, contact the factory to get the transformer test data, including impedance and X/R ratio measured values.

That is true, but the parameters to construct the curve do not exist until the transformer has been built and tested at the factory. You pay extra to get this type of data.

..and see how much that changes your results.

... which (I believe) is his way of saying that there is little to no change in the appearance of the ANSI damage curve when using the actual measured values versus the SKM defaults.
I suggested this because I've done studies for the Air Force where they would not accept the Power Study unless the actual measured values were used. So if your intention is to be completely anal about construction of the damage curve - contact the factory to get the measurements. It's as accurate as you can get.
