Any experiences on installing a secondary surge arrestor on 480 3 phase corner grounded delta services.
Will these actually protect anything on a delta corner grounded sytem?

it would be much wiser to have a power quality study to see if there is anything to be feared of in the first place.

Aren't SSAs what we used to call lightning arrestors? If so, I doubt a power quality study would ever detect anything they might actually do any good on. I seem to recall they don't do anything until you hit like 2000 volts.

We use them on our corner tap irrigation wells 480 volt and seen one that was hit by what I'll assume was lightening. Black gooie stuff and plastic everywhere.(Make sure you mount them on the outside of the panel) Didn't hurt any thing else however.
