I just installed a new service/ panel. Both meter and panel have concentric ko's. I have a bonding bushing on panel side, do I need one on meter side? Usually the meter bases I get I cut holes in, so never needed one before. Not sure if I need one now or not. 11/4 emt from meter to panel. Meter grounded to ground rod outside and panel to water meter inside. Code book doesn't say exactly this situation I could find. Any help appreciated!

The idea is to bond the pipe as both the meter and panel get bonded thru the neutral-- the panel is bonded via a screw into the can so the conduit just needs a bonding bushing on one side.

thanks for the quick help. Thats what i thought but wanted to make sure. Pipe is definetly bonded on panel side. just wanted to make sure. would've called the inspector, but they didnt work today. thanks again for the help!

Thanks for the help! I tried to reply and not sure if it went thru, my first posting here. I thought it made sense to only bond one side ( panel side is), but wanted to know for sure and for future. Some of the pics i saw on mike holts basics of grounding and bonding made it look that way, but none specifically diagramed when both ends had concentric or eccentrics kos. Thanks again.

As Dennis stated you need to only bond one side if the metallic raceway contains service entrance conductors. If you didn't have concentric or eccentric KO's you could simply use one bonding locknut or bonding wedge.
