I have a job I am doing in a damp enviroment, with fiberglass junction boxes and non-metallic liquid tight flex. I have used nylon lock nuts before, but they do not tighten up well. Has anyone ever seen stainless steel locknuts or a better type of non metallic locknut?

Re: Stainless Steel Locknuts

I once worked in a packing house- imagine a seven-story refrigerator that is cleaned daily with steam, chlorine, and lye. "Rust is Us." To prevent rust from 'welding' locknuts and fittings together, we used a nickel base anti-seize compound. Today, Penetrox is a similar product, with the advantage of being UL listed for this purpose.

T&B sells a sealing ring with a Stainless Retainer P/N 5302 (3/8") so check with local supplier; I have used these in the past with great sucess
