Standard Wire Sizes

What are the standard wire sizes you can find in an electrical supply store for example? Is there a list somewhere?
Electricians say that sometime its very difficult to find specific wire sizes (gauges) specified in plans by the engineer.

Table 310.16 is pretty much a good guide.

Some supply outfits may not stock much in the really big sizes, but should be able to order any standard AWG size.

For the most part, supplyhouses carry all the sizes...the wrench in the works is the insulation type or cable assembly :wink:
