Is this stapling is equivalent to Clamping of
British Standards.(Clamps are defined as a device
where one can control the pressure exerted on cables by some of tightening mechanism while Clips
are just acts on spring tension to support cable)

I am not at all heard this stapling except through
this site,is it a common thing in countries which
adhere to British Standard ?

Re: Stapling and Clamping

JYO, staples are used to secure a cable assembly or other wiring systems along its runs where required per the respective code article. In some cases a strap is used. When entering a box or cabinet, a clamp is used to secure the cable to the box, in some cases the box has internal clips that act like spring tension to hold the cable in place. So its sounds like we are all doing the same thing. Clamps, clips, straps, staples, all means of support and securing.

Re: Stapling and Clamping

Stapling is not equivalent to clamping or clips.
Staples are used to support wire runs in some cases, but never as a means to connect to a box.
