New customer with new to him business: Fix the worst things first.

Oh, great. Which one of these two are the worst? The strings of decorative lights are wrapped around sheet rock screws. Both have obviously worked for years. If its not broken...

Just one of multiple problem areas similar to any business that has not seen a licensed EC or permitted job since 1970.

What can you say, they are out there like that all over the country. Good pictures.

I've yet to see a restaurant (other than ones recently built or chain ones) that has safe wiring in it.

I stopped in a local BBQ place a few months ago. While waiting for the food, I looked around. Noticed a receptacle for a window AC, hanging out of the box. It was a 5-15 wired 240V with the green on the 'neutral' (hot) and no ground. One pin on the AC plug (a 6-20p) had been bent 90* (now a 5-20p?) to make it fit the receptacle. Can only imagine what jackassery had taken place in the panel to accommodate that wiring setup. :happyno:

The xmas lights are the worst. Numerous places for potential failure/fire.
