Where is dark side of the moon?

...next to the light side of the moon!

I didn't realize we had colonized the moon and made it the 51st State.
:D

In most cases, for certain in Indiana, the local counties and municipalities collect an annual license fee from each electrical contractor that works in their jurisdiction. Tell me why they would want to give that type of control up?

Contact either the Independent Electrical Contractors (IEC), Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) (both merit shops), or the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW). In Indiana, there was an attempt to get a statewide licensing bill through the legislature. It failed because of a difference of opinion between the ABC and IBEW. As is obvious, there is a philosophical difference between the two organizations. One or the other of these organizations withdrew support for the bill and it failed.

In my opinion, when the union and merit organizations can both learn to work together for the common good, Indiana will have state wide licensing. That is what will have to happen in any state that is going to get statewide licensing established.

This is the same in Illinois as both sides will only support a bill that gives their side an advantage so we do not have a state license.

I should have known , Missouri.

It seems several of these mid wet states don't have state licensing.
Charlie posted a nice thread here:
