As far as I know, "Master" is just another way to say "contractor". Some states licenses formally call contractors "masters" and other don't. My state doesn't, but the title on my business card says "Master Electrician" just because I think it sounds cool.

Some states license the contractor who does nothing more than the business end and another license for the primary worker and some do both.
Take for example Oregon. if you have a electrical license you cannot take on any jobs unless you have a general electrician signed on to the contractors license . Of course you can have both.

Me too, Georgia license is not "master" but "unlimited", would sound a little egotistical on business card

State License Boards may get it from Air Force enlisted ranks;
4 strips is Sargent,
5 strips is Master Sargent,
6 strips is Senior-Master Sargent,
7 strips is Chief-Master Sargent.
For retired trolls like Sierra Sparky, it's Master-Masterbater Sargent.
Just Asking. the way i read Oklahoma license requirements is that you can be a limited contractor without master license but other requirements and limited to jobs under 40k and unlimited means unlimited. I was asked to take exam for Oklahoma so I am just trying to gather info as far information they would accept from Texas versus Oklahoma experience.
