Just received an update from the WA State Department of Labor and Industries Electrical Division stating they are giving a last minute reprieve on some of the NEC 2020 provisions which have some sting on the residential side of things. Earlier this year the state's adoption of the NEC 2020 was postponed from July 1, 2020 to this coming week (October 28th, 2020) thanks to COVID, etc. Today the news broke that they are delaying the big 210.8 GFCI updates that effect dwelling units until July 1st, 2023: both the inside 240V receptacles within 6ft of sinks, and the all the exterior outlets that are affected by the expansion to cover everything up to 50amps and 120 or 240Volts, etc. The other big change with the requirement of Emergency Service disconnects, was only partly limited with an exception being provided when a service is existing, and is not relocated or resized (higher or lower).

Here is the link showing the announcement for those affected in the State of Washington: https://content.govdelivery.com/accounts/WADLI/bulletins/2a7749d

Also WA is going to allow continued use of temp services that are main lug panels with multiple disconnects, until UL changes the listing.
