I know of tank truck companies that check hoses regularly for electrical as well as mechnical integrity, sometimes quareterly ror semiannually, but they are subject to pretty severe operating conditions.
Hoses with embedded wires for bonding can become a serious static ignition hazard if one or more of the conductors become isolated, since they become capacitive storage devices.
