Stupid question. I have 4 stationary blower motors. 60HP each. Each frame of the motor is grounded back to a ground loop around the BLDG. Can a ground/bond each of the 4 motor frames together and the bring it to the ground loop? Or should it be done separately? Any feed back would be great.

I don't think that in general there is a code requirement to run a conductor to earth at all. This seems like something that has been spec'd and if so should be asked of whomever issued the spec.

Yes. Spec calls for all motor over 50HP to be taken to the ground loop.

since it is not a code issue I think the only thing you can do is ask the entity that issued the spec. I can't think of a good reason to be doing this but if that entity wants to pay for it, let them.

I have had specs where it said every enclosure had to have a 2/0 lug in it for grounding. I had the shop put them in, even in 6X4 junction boxes and charged accordingly.
