I've never heard of one. I would think if there was a proximity limit you would find it in "uses not permitted" of Article 344. But, being as how I can only find "344.10 uses permitted" and the NEC is a permissive document (meaning it only tells you what you "can't" do). I would interpret the NEC as being silent on it and therefore allowing it.

Note that the close proximity of the steam pipe exposes the conduit and its conductors to higher temperatures, and the conductor type may have to be changed and a temperature correction factor would have to be applied. Most design specs require 6' to 12" of seperation.
