Step Up transformer 120 to 240 for generator powered cabin

I hope someone can help me with this...

I am a general contractor with electrical experience.

I am working on an off grid cabin that is powered by a large 240 Volt propane generator. In an effort to save fuel, they want to switch to a small Honda 3000 (quiet and sips fuel) generator. I have done the calcs and the Honda can handle the cabin so long as they don't run the 240 Volt well pump with other moderate loads. The cabin's only 240V item is the well pump, everything else is 120V run on two seperate legs of breakers.

The Honda 3000 is 120 volt, so a step up transformer is in order, which gets a bit out of my experience range. I have attached a photo of a Acme General Purpose Transformer (T-3-53043-S) that I have in hopes we could use it for the job above.

Questions:

1) Will this transformer work for the step up proposed?
2) How do I wire it based on this wiring diagram attached?

Thanks for any help!

Robert Higgins
