Storing Stuff Near MC/Flex Conduit

Simple question. I have attic crawlspaces with Flex MC (like BX) running along the walls, is it safe to store cardboard boxes against them? Not pushing against them, but generally within 1 inch? Is this a fire hazard? There are no issues with the cable, its older and works just fine.

As hbiss said, the risks and failure modes associated with older bx cable has already been stated in the other thread-any number of things may or may not happen.

We cannot say whether or not your wiring is safe. If you are genuinely concerned about your wiring, it might be best to get it evaluated by an electrician.
