I've seen manufacturer's specs for equipment that call for strange size breakers such as 105 Amp or 115 Amp. I've personally never seen these sizes before. Do they actually make them? I usually go with the closest rated breaker I can get because alot of the panels I deal with are ancient and have very large and usually very rare molded case breakers. The best I can do for replacements are often remanufactured units, and the selection is quite limited.

Zog, can you point me in the right direction for such breakers? If those oddball breakers don't exist, then why do some equipment manufacturers call for such weird OCPD ratings? Ishium, recently I wired up a commercial water heater that called for a 115 Amp OCPD. Just got me wondering if such an animal existed.

have you called your supplier and asked them ? The manufacturer, if given the right information, can set the trips on adjustable trip breakers for you, no ?

Yeah, I imagine they could. I've just never heard of a manufacturer doing so. If they would for a reasonable price, I'd have them set them for each oddball situation.
