Strapping to transformer?

Hey guys, just curious....I've got a panel that's feeding a transformer, which feeds another panel. Pretty simple.

But I have the panels and transformer circling around a column, so they aren't in a straight line where I could strap it to a wall or anything if need be.

So my question is: Is there any code issue involved with screwing a strap to the side of my transformer to hold my pipe in place, and have it secured to at least one point other than the points of penetration into panel/transformer?

You can strap to the side of the transformer. You might need to drill a hole in the floor and anchor the strap that way.

I'm a little confused. Your post makes it sound like, "yes you can strap to the side of the transformer".

But then you say I might need to drill a hole in the ground and anchor the strap that way....implying that, no I can not strap to the transformer.

I can't see what you are looking at. I really don't even understand what you mean by "panels and transformer circling around a column" so it's hard to say what is best. I don't think there is anything wrong with strapping to the transformer, but there are other options if that doesn't work.

Does that make more sense?
