Stuck Fish Tape

very tight vise grips on the tape, 1/4" grab hook against the vg, and comealong as others have said.

Doubt that Kevlar cloth or fiberglass was used?

Did anyone mention twisting the fish tape?
 
I think this was already mentioned...

I would try catching the problem by inserting the snake from the other direction. And, a lot of time, its how you put the hook on the end of a snake that makes the difference...

or chucking it in a drill on low... but of course chuck it close to the stub. or,21 gun salute the fubar pipe that shorted conductors...

gasoline anda match was mentioned! and soda! of course twisting was suggested!

Correct, with the pool it gets diluted, and even after that PH level of the pool still gets adjusted if not within desired levels.

They add acids as well as caustic solutions to food products that stand alone are very nasty, but at prescribed levels to achieve a certain PH in the end product or at a particular point during processing, are not harmful.

I am the third person with this thought. Once you get the fish tape in from the other end, twist it a few times, not a bunch and try to pull. Always push on the other end when you do this. The thing is to "rock" back and forth until something lets go. After this, learn from your mistakes, get a mandrel and use it to run through your conduit. Also, make sure you hook a rope to the far end so you have something to pull back on.

As far as the acid, I am in the camp of being careful. I believe it is unwise and would be a last resort for me.
