I ,M looking to do a sub meter 3phase 4wire, 480volt so we can charge for the electriic being used. Someone always has the answers on this site. When ever we are stuck we count on this place. we like to say thanks again for all the great help.

If you were in NC, you would not be allowed to charge more than you are paying. Just a FYI. I know you didn't say that and you may just be trying to recoup your cost.

E-mon units are about your best bet and they are rated "ANSCI -2C" as far as accuracy which is a utility standard required by most Public Utility Commissions---check with yours before billing!

IF you are paying for "demand" charges on your bill, using a sub-meter may not reflect your actual costs if you only consider kWhs.

You might have to perform a percentage/proportional billing based on total usage vs total billed.
