SUB PANEL FEEDER 83%???

Can the feeder to a sub-panel be sized to the 83% rule? 310.15 (B)(7)(1)
I would think not as 310. B 7 1 says feeding entire load. This is for a basement remodel sub-panel.

You're correct, no.

If the subpanel feeder carries the entire dwelling load, then it's okay. For example, if the service equipment is a single fused disco or circuit breaker that feeds the subpanel.

Otherwise, not ok.
