Sub panel in laundry closit

Unless you bring up other conditions there is no restrictions. Presence of laundry equipment alone doesn't prohibit installing a panel in the area.

What some may call a laundry closet others may call a laundry room.
 
You need to make sure no flammables will be stored in that closet. A clothes closet is a no no (so don't put in a clothes hanger bar or clothes hooks). Will they be storing sheets or towels in that closet (perhaps the only way you'll know is if there are some short towel shelves). You may be able to save yourself with closet signage, but certain items in the closet may make the inspector deem it a clothes or flammables closet.

I am the inspector:D When I perform the inspection, I guarentee that there will be nothing that I will be able to see for non-compliance:happysad:
