Hello,
This is my first posting and excited to be a part of this forum.
I am studying the NEC to help with my possible new job position. I of course have a Main electrical panel in my one garage and a sub panel in a garage that is attached to my main house. I was reviewing the main panel and sub-panel (in the attached garage) and I noticed the neutral bar had a large green insulated wire from the main panel (which is connected to neutral bar also). I also noticed that the bare grounding wire from the ground rod was also connected to the sub-panels ground rod outside. I sent a picture to my election and he said that the green screw that connects the neutral bar to the enclosure should not be installed and that the green wire and bare grounding wire should be moved to the ground bus.
I made the necessary changes and wanted to share the before and after photos.
Please feel free to comment. I did this with the 100 amp breaker tripped at the main panel.
Thanks
