I would like to run a subpanel from my house
out to a small mobile home.
The mobile is about 100' from my elect panel.
The mobile will have a small 110v electric water
heater, a 110v window airconditioner,(1275wats),
tv,satelite reciver,vcr,computer,3 100w lights,
and in the winter a 1200w electric heater.
(I have 200amp service at my home)
Now my question : What size wire should i use,
and how many amps do i need to give to this?

Re: sub panel

If you've not done this type of installation before do your self a favor and get a qualified electrican to help you. You need to look at voltage drop to get started.

Tom: I agree with you on alton getting help. Alton the info you give is not enough to help you. there are several items that need clarification ( total watts to get total amps) As Tom stated Voltage drop needs to be considered in order to get the right size wire and amps. however at a minimum I would suggest # 8
(25.8*100*23/3.6=16,483cmils),based on the info provided. However this is only a suggestion You really need to consult with an electrician in your area. It is always best to be safe.
