Re: Sub-panel

Nope, not a test question. I have a telecom facility that I am designing and I need to install a sub-panel. I have about 2' to 3' space available above the floor to place it. I have a local MEP Engineer that doesn't think it would have any problem being close to the floor, but I would like a second opinion.

Re: Sub-panel

Sorry, this sounded like a question designed to get someone to think. I don't know of anything that would prevent the installation directly on the floor (other than common sense).

Re: Sub-panel

I would not install a panelboard below the maximum possible flood level of the room or building. Sounds funny, but a real issue here on the Florida coast. :)

Thanks guys, I know it was a bad question but you've helped make up my mind of what I need to say on the blue prints.
