Subject to Physical damage

I have struggled to know some locations that apply to, Subject to Physical damage and how it applies to conduits?

For instance LFNC, I have seen this used to "whip" over to a hot tub i.e. transition from underground pvc then LFNC to the Tub and the LFNC is exposed. Is LFNC acceptable in this setting? Its residential and I don't see how there would ever be damage so I would think its acceptable.

"Subject to physical damage" is a very subjective term and only YOUR AHJ knows what it means in your area.
