Well, got the word today that submersible pumps will have disconnects next to the pitless adaptors. That detail had been kind of ignored. No longer. That opens a can of worms. Welldrillers and pump installers had been allowed to run wires to point of first control which could have been several hundred feet. Sounds like the standard pressure switch they have been using for eons won't fit the bill if installed outside either. Not 3R.
