Hello,
We went to a service call today on a house where we were asked to provide a 220v 20 amp circuit to a just installed irrigation pump that is submersed in a lake in their backyard. The landscape contractor installed the pump and pieced together some 12-2 UF about 6" underground and in the water out to the pump.
We said we would have to re-do his installation if they wanted us to do the job. Would 680-51 apply here? It is not a fountain, but I would consider it "other submersible equipment". We are installing a GFCI breaker but am concerned about nusiance tripping. They have just installed new sod and want to make sure it gets plenty of water.
I welcome all comments. Thanks in advance,
