Submetering Question - Product Available?

The owner of a building in which we are performing design work wants us to meter some individual, large loads within a building. These loads are connected to ordinary panelboards, but they are on different panelboards, due to their being different voltages. The panelboards are all in the same closet.

Is it possible to measure several individual loads on one submeter unit? Or will the contractor have to purchase a submeter for each load? The building is asking for E-Mon D-Mon, but may be flexible if there is a better solution out there. Help?
 
If the two voltages are in phase and the meter uses current transformers it might be possible to kludge the CT ratios to allow a single meter to be used, but it would be more proper to use an electronic monitor with inputs for multiple circuits. Does the customer need revenue grade accuracy and rating, or would a less accurate energy monitoring system be OK

Your original post needs clarification.

What are the purposes of the measurements? What kind of loads, single or three phase? What voltages, currents, and power factors? Current waveforms? What accuracy? What resolutions, including time? How many different separate loads? How many loads can be combined? And probably more questions dependent upon answers to the above.

All that info is not necessary...

Quadlogic makes sub-metering "mini-closets that can do all the monitoring and power quality calculations for you. Each mini-closet can monitor up to (8) points with CT's, but each voltage source will need its on cabinet. The monitored current must be from the same source as the voltage.:thumbsup:

Check out ekm metering. I just ordered 20 of their units. They are revenue grade and priced very competitively. We paid about 175 per unit with ct's.
