does the subpanel for a hotub require that the panel be bonded by the bonding screw

Bonded to what?
Do you mean the main bonding jumper screw?
What voltage and how many conductors to the panel?

sorrry Yes the bonding screw it is 240 volt 4 conductor from the main that is bonded with the screw the sub has 2 GFCI breakers for the tub it is fed in PVC conduit to the subpanel

Throw away the bonding screw. Your grounded and grounding conductors should be separate at the subpanel. The grounded conductors will terminate on the neutral bar and grounding conductors will terminate on a equipment grounding bar.
