I am putting a subpanel in building. From temp service curious if this looks to be a fine ok, Approvce install.

Any comments let me know.

Does the Aerial from Temp service need to be 2 insulated -1 bare ASCR type ALumin. Or should go with 2 hot insul, 1 neutral insulated, 1 bare?

Not any more.

See 250.32

I know Technically it is a Branch circuit. But can it be classified as a entirely Different service. It almost same situations. From a Pole to Service. I am going to read this article more so I can Understand it clearly.

If you have a Line (copy & paste) in the Article 250.32 That is the definable wording. I like to See. Just like this book. Just the wording is confusing. Thank You.

Im trying to verify which sentence refers to this situation. I just read briefly.

In midst reading it entirely.

No it cannot be a branch circuit. Branch circuits cannot supply panels.

See the article 100 definition of branch circuit.

It is either a feeder or service conductors.

But can it be classified as a entirely Different service.

No, it cannot be classified as a service when it is supplied from another panel. A service can only be provided by the utility and that service stops at the first overcurrent device.

See the definition of 'service' in article 100.

Kind of the same but different rules apply.

You told us you are running a line from a temporary service panel to a subpanel. That being the case it is a feeder you are running and feeders must include an EGC, in your case you must have 2 hots, a neutral and a EGC. Four wires total, one can be bare.

This is not a maybe :happyno: and there is no way to code compliantly run less wires. A few code cycles back you might have been able to use the neutral as the grounding conductor but that allowance is gone.

Are you also aware you must install a grounding electrode system at the new sub panel location?

Here you go:

(B) Grounded Systems. For a grounded system at the
separate building or structure, an equipment grounding conductor
as described in 250.118 shall be run with the supply
conductors and be connected to the building or structure
disconnecting means and to the grounding electrode(s).
