Subpanel question

I looked and looked in the code and couldn't find the answer to my question so I thought that I'd ask you guys :smile: What defines a sub panel? What I mean is would you only consider a panel a sub panel if it was fed from another panel?

Going by experience...IMHO a 'sub-panel' would be fed from another panel. As to a def in the NEC...I don't think so.
