Is there a code section that speak to running a subpanel to another subpanel? I'm just wondering . I have a main lug subpanel that has room for two pole breaker to feed another subpanel in the new garage.
My thinking was if the breaker in the main panel is large enough that feed 1st subpanel it should be ok. Is there anything else i should be looking at?
 
You can "daisy chain" as many panels as you wish as long as each meets the appropriate Code rules. One you feed the sup-panel you mention you can feed from that to another, etc
