I'm not sure I know what it is. The term "480/277" tells me that we're dealing with 3 phase. Can you describe this panel in more detail?

What would be the reason for this? It makes no sense.

There is obviously multiple circuits involved to warrant a panel. From here all the "single phase circuits" could be designed with overall balancing
of the service taken in to consideration.

Patty, I am not really sure what you are asking for. I use 480Y/277 to supply UPS, HVAC, step-down transformers, rectifiers, and other three phase loads as required. Single phase loads (277) are generally lighting.

Patty,
By 480/277 single phase panel, do you mean a panel that is fed by 2 hots and the grounded conductor from a 480Y/277V panel? If so I've never seen that application.

I can not locate any single phase, 600 volt, panels, in the publications I have.

I saw the panel in Square-D, and i was unaware that they made single phase 480v panels. Let me clarify. I mean the panel is single phase at 480/277. I think I misled them with saying subpanel. Lighting and two pole sight lighting would be a case, but that is it.

It seems like putting in a single phase, 480V panel would be useless.
