If you are installing a sump pump new circuit is it excluded from GFCI and AFCI requirements?
Also same question for a septic pump? No (I don't believe basements are required to be AFCI if that is where it is located)
If they are hard wired can you get away from GFCI and AFCI requirements? If you alter the pump (cut the plug off), No, but if it's factory wired for direct connection, Yes
