Sump

I have an outside sump pump for leader drainage. It is next to a garage and the installers have put in a chase out of the pit and pulled the cables thru .Would it be a violation if I were to just install a gfi and bubble cover on the garage wall next to the pit and just plug it in? Im running a new circuit underground for it as well, dont want that thing tripping...6.7 amps.

I am not sure I follow. I have 2 question. If the garage has power and you are running another circuit from the house and attaching it to the garage then you may be in violation of article 225.30. Is this the case????

Yes. Outside on the garage wall single receptacle.

This installation is common and accepted here, not so much for sumps but for lift stations and we plug the pump supply cord into a piggyback cord plug from a float switch.
