CED, CES, Rexel, Hughes, you have them all.

you guys still have a hughes electrical? I thought they converted them all to HD Supply. Somebody at home depot probably got fired over that acquisition.

I find you need one good supply house you get along with. The people, the parts, the location. I went to the same supply house for almost 15 years. They know me, I know them. I supplement with the big box store but sometimes ya just need that 3 phase breaker or large equipment order. Personal connection is important. They are the people that will get you that one part you need or get that quote out the door immediately. Try them all out, see how you connect. If you quote the job with them, make sure you buy from them, and they will be there when you need them. I like CED/Raybro, City Electric Supply, and Graybar.

Hi Genius,
How about RT Electrical Distributors, Inc.
4157 Seaboard Rd.
Orlando, FL 32808
1-800-507-6190

Disclaimer: the only reason I know of them is they sent me a flyer. They seem to handle mainly residential stuff like receptacles and switches. However, they do sell ROLLS OF PINK ELECTRICAL TAPE. This is very important to me as they seem to be the only supplier of PINK ELECTRICAL TAPE in the entire United States.
You are so lucky to be within a bike ride of their emporium. I envy you.

P.S. A sleeve of PINK ELECTRICAL TAPE [10 rolls] is about ~$6 and shipping same to San Diego is ~$25.

I buy all my GFCIs there. never have to worry about nucience tripping with them.

PINK TAPE is used to identify the hot wires entering a box. This is a great help in identifying the hot wire when installing GFCIs. "Hot Pink" = "hot"; get it! Being a unique color, it is not mistaken for a marking for a different phase or system.

OK, I just strip 1/4'' of hot leads but what ever works for you. I thought maybe you were in the San Fran. area and had special needs for pink tape to keep inspectors happy:grin:

Wouldn't want the tape colors to clash with the Bavarian Drapes!

Utility underground code uses pink tape for survey markers as opposed to red..electric, yellow..oil-gas, orange..Telephone, green...sewer, etc.
