1)When a ufer ground is installed is a supplemental electrode required? (2) If one is required do I need 2 rods and do they have to be 6' min away from each other and the foundation?(as this is used for an electrode)(3)Can the #4 grounding electrode conductor be run through bored holes in the 2x10's to the panel?

Re: supplimental electrode

#1) The CEE eliminates the need for the ground rods, but you must use the water pipe if available.

#2) See #1
#3) Yes

Re: supplimental electrode

1. Adding ground rods to service already grounded via a concrete-encased electrode would be supplementary grounding electrodes not required but permitted by NEC. The CEE does not require supplemental. See 250.53(D)(2) - only the metal water pipe electrode requires supplemental electrodes.

2. The supplementary rods can be installed anywhere and in anyway as theyare not required.

3. Check your building code. Don't go putting holes in 2x10's without due care.
