So I was informed this morning that three 1734-OB8 IO modules I ordered back in January or February are now scheduled for January 2023 delivery.

Fortunately our end user was able to find some of these modules on eBay before that source dried up so the system is not sitting there unusable for lack of $100 worth of I/o modules.

It's nuts. I ordered two 6 stack meter bases in March. Then I ordered two more in April, they've been delayed several times. The newest delivery date is in October, of course I don't believe that either. I had to get a different brand for the first two.

I needed 2 Hoffman CSD1212SS doors and was quoted at least 18 months lead time. For a couple of 12" x 12" pieces of stainless steel! Apparently there's a material shortage so they are not selling parts. I was able to buy 2 complete enclosures. But I have had long delays from them for non-stock enclosures as well.

I have not had much trouble with Hoffman as long as I stick to the preferred part numbers.

Getting doors is usually pain enough even without the supply shortage that we would most time buy the whole enclosure rather than just a door if we needed it quick. Especially for a $200 item like this. The time involved to try and get just the door is not worth whatever money might be saved.

I priced meter paks for a 9-plex (4 + 3 + 3) back in May, and I was told price was good for 1 day only, and at least a year to get them.

So a customer had an old computer fail. I called the manufacturer and ask them about it. They said it would have to be shipped to them to be repaired and there is a 1 to 2-month wait for repairs. They are blaming parts shortages.

I used to sell a lot of AB SLC parts to Radwell as we replaced them with control logic. I suspect the used parts business is very robust for Radwell. Maybe not for SLCs, but they had a lot of stock, new in box, new, used and parts

I switched from Hoffman to Saginaw. Faster delivery, better pricing. Not the variety Hoffman carries, but for standard NEMA stuff they had it

got a contract on a new DQ yesterday. Breaking ground monday, want it open before Christmas. The gear has an 18/wk lead time. I haven't even asked, but I'm pretty certain unless they've already ordered RTU's and walk-in cooler/freezer, the gear won't be the last thing in.

Local Utility is saying up to 6 months for a number of different KVA pad mount transformers.
