Where in 2014 NEC is secure and support requirements for #4, #6 bare copper or number #2 aluminum in a residential building for grounding or say 4/0 copper not in a raceway? Thanks

I'm sure someone will cite chapter & verse....Pull the wire taut, & staple to joist or mud sill. Run the wire through bored holes if that works for you. Remember to protect your wire where subject to damage.

I have been looking and cannot find a requirement. Table 300.19 (A) came to mind but this is for vertical runs in raceways, I cannot find a requirement for bare ground or insulated single conductors of copper or aluminum. One staple not more than 4.5 feet like romex is what I've been doing but for long runs and having the wire tight this overkill just would like to know if it is in the 2014 NEC. I mean you can make romex look good with a staple every 10 feet on long runs like say stapled to a truss or TGI.

maybe 300.3 ?
