Support FS box with no mounting tabs

I’ve searched the code book and haven’t came across the answer just yet. I was taught that every box needs to be supported but I have an Appleton malleable (FS) box that has no external mounting tabs. Is it considered supported by the RMC since it’s a threaded hub? I have drilled the back before to insert screw into strut but is that altering the box?

Just trying to find the correct way to install. Please include NEC reference of your answer if found.

I would just drill 2 holes in the back of the box. If you are worried about leakage then put some silicone over the screw. BTw, welcome to the forum
