Support of Data cat 6 wire and wiremold in tbar ceiling

Is there a code requirement for support of single gang wiremold boxes and cat 6 cable above ceiling tile. Can it rest on tile. This is not an air plenum area.
Just above ceiling tile. The box holds data jacks for projectors and wireless access points.
Every room has one. We are in southern California, los angels area.
