Running some 24" alum ladder tray and have made some vertical offsets using the offset splice plates. The NEMA VE-2 guideline says to support the tray within 2' of the vertical splice plates on each end...does the offset piece itself get supported with 2' of each end or just the horizontal pieces? Thanks

Depends on the length of the offset piece :D

Distance between supports should not exceed whatever max is for the type being run. On inclined and vertical sections, the cable in the tray has a greater weight per horizontal distance. So measure distance inline with the tray.

I believe the NEMA "recommendation" is without, but only considers minimal incline distance.
