How sloppy can communication wire be pulled in the ceiling. I know you cannot use the T-Bar grid unless it is your own grid wire. Where is this in the code? Also, I know you cannot use other system raceways but can you use other system supports such as the allthread or strut that is supporting duct work. Thanks for you help

Check out 800.24. That section is the closest you will find to a requirement for securing of communications cables.

Also you can support communications cables off of allthread or unistrut that is also used to support other systems.

Is the romex staple listed for the purpose?
Or should communication cables be supported by the communication cable support rings?

I have never seen a "Listed" RX staple. What they can be used for is a judgment call by the installer and the inspector.

We use RX staples with tye wraps to secure small bundles of communications cables all the time and I have never had anyone question it.
