Working on 20 foot high ceiling (floor to bottom of deck)
In order to have luminaire supports
( # 12 jack chain caddy cornered)
Will use metal screw eyebolts screwed to roof deck this will enable supports to hang straighter/ level down Found beams are larger spaced than usual Is their a code
( boca) or any that forbids this I normally tie around bottom steel joists but supports wont hang straight down Due to steel joists being on like 6 to 8 foot centers making luminaires supports hang sloppy diagnol Never seen joists centers so far apart

Not sure what the load rating is. I've definitely used empty pans for installations before, but for the truly heavy stuff I'd run off joists. Depends on how heavy your luminaires are.
Alternative is trapeze act.
