Does code require that MC cable be supported when installed in an existing wall? For instance, in a 10' wall, if a new MC cable is dropped in the wall cavity from above to a receptacle box 18" off the floor, is it OK for the MC cable to be hanging unsuported in the wall? How do you support MC cable every 6' or within 12" of the receptacle box?
