Is it common to have to support Pvc to the earth before the concrete floor is pored? I have been called on this only once.

We only support it where it turns up so it stays where we want it. No support is required along the length IMO

If you want it to potentially float up or end up in a location where it really shouldn't be then don't stake it, otherwise do. There is no requirement to do so.

in a slab, you are gonna be under the mesh, and that will usually hold anything less than 1" down.
if you are not under the mesh, you shoulda been there sooner.... :happyyes:

if you don't stake large pipe, it will float nicely.
